BUDGET INFORMATION

Township Millages:
There are currently three millages specific to Crystal Lake Twp. that appear on your tax bill. They include an operating .50 millage that your election officials and assisting staff use to run the township, helping to pay for everything from office supplies to salaries. There is a Special Assessment for Fire & Rescue services currently set a .65. And lastly, there is a Road Improvement millage due to expire in the fall of 2024 that was voted in at 1.00 mills but due to the Headlee Amendment it is currently "rolled back" to 96.94 mills. These millages are formally requested on a form, L-4029. Prior year L-4029 Tax Rate Request forms have been published on the State website beginning with 2018 through current. To access these prior year forms, go to www.michigan.gov/propertytaxestimator / Under Related Documents / PY Form 614/L-4029 Tax Rate Requests. |
